A repertory house running six productions wanted six identities and a budget for one. We agreed on one drawn column form, and then I cut it a different way for each play - split, folded, toppled, doubled.
Hung together in the foyer they read as a season. Hung alone in a street they read as a play. That was the whole argument.
The season poster is the six cuts overprinted on one sheet, which is either a summary or a mess, depending on how close you stand.
