A quarterly of essays about making things, edited by two people with no design budget after issue one. The design had to be a template they could pour text into at midnight.
So the grid does the work: one text column, one wide margin for notes, and a cover that changes only its numeral and its flat colour. Issue four looks like issue one on purpose.
The number is blind-embossed rather than printed, which is the single expensive decision in the whole thing and the one readers mention.
