Three generations have worked the same pans near Ayvalik, and the salt was sold in unmarked bags to restaurants who knew to ask. The brief was to make it sellable on a shelf without making it look like a design object.

The mark is one drawn wave, cut so it reads at 8mm on a tag and at half a metre on the sack. The labels are a single flat colour plus black, printed by the same shop that does the fish market signage, on a paper stock that takes a thumbprint.

The system covers four grain sizes and two export sizes, and none of it needs a designer to extend.
